Named for the cross streets of City Hall, Sixth & Jeff. is a podcast that sets out to bring civic education to the people of Louisville Metro.

Brought to you by two local government nerds, Taylor & Alena break it all down in easy-to-understand, bite-sized snippets, highlighting major ordinances, resolutions, and being a connector to your local government.

About Taylor

Taylor is an advocate at heart, and finds that politics can sometimes be the way for advocacy to take shape. This led her to study up on politics at every level, but especially locally, because that's where the biggest impact can happen. She's lived in Louisville most of her life, ran for Metro Council, organizes for police accountability, serves on her kids' PTA and her neighborhood association, and likes to read and cross stitch when she's not hanging out with her family.

About Alena

Alena is from the Louisville area and grew up in a politically-aware household. Alena earned her degree in Political Science & Theology where she learned to love advocacy and policy work. Alena ran for Metro Council in '22 on a Housing platform. She serves as President of her neighborhood association, is a big nerd about zoning and the urban neighborhoods. When she is not “catching up on council,” she likes to dance, be surrounded by friends, and listen to music from the 60s.
